Imagine if you had to pay to send emails to anyone in another country – and the larger the email (including attachments), the bigger the fee.
Would that affect your correspondence? Would it be enough to make you change providers? And what would you do if it was a universal policy?
It would change my behaviour. I’d want to know if it was cheaper to send one long message than several short ones. I might just revert to snail mail!
There’s a lot to be said for snail mail! Unfortunately one of the things to be said is that it is ever more expensive. A single letter in NZ now costs $1.20 to post – and that’s domestic!
