“Deborah in a pattern? We don’t know what to think!” Such was the cry of my fellow university student some years ago, on seeing me wearing a cardigan with, yes, a pattern knitted into it.

Reclaiming “Old-Fashioned”

It says it right there in the header: Deborah Makarios, Old-Fashioned Fruitcake. But what do I mean when I call myself old-fashioned? (Sorry to disappoint you: am not actually a cake.)
