The endless quest for “the same – but different!” Of course, the less different it is, the lesser the risk the public won’t go for it, and so it goes…
Yes that is the thinking…and then you get an Adele. Non cookie cutter, over weight and unflashy. Simple un-overproduced songs…and she breaks sales and awards records. – But still they keep looking for more of the same.
