When it comes to decluttering, what do you reckon works best: doing it all in one fell swoop, or eating the elephant one bite at a time?

The number of times you talk about purging, your house must be completely empty by now – maybe one desk and two chairs remaining, perhaps a bed.
Tragically, blogging about purging does not cause all the unnecessary things in one’s life to drop away like rotten fruit falling off the tree. And even if it did, one would still be knee-deep 🙂
Of course, not everything in this house is mine…
It really depends on what works best for you. Sometimes, going at it with one swoop (especially if you’re working alone) can be overwhelming. The best way to find out what works best for you is just to get started and see how much you’re able to tackle at one time.
Remember, purging is a marathon, not a race! My advice: Don’t put too much pressure on yourself to finish the job all at once. Just try to make progress consistently. Best of luck!
Hi Lauren,
Thanks for your input and good wishes! As you say, it all depends on what works for the purger, and the only way to find out is to try!
