Touch-typing? Hunt-and-peck? Or the ultra-modern thumbing?
What speeds do you clock? (Free test available here.)
My speed works out at 60 words per minute, taking into account the fact that I go back to correct errors as I spot them, rather than leaving them be. Quality, not quantity, as the family motto says – or would, if we had one.
60 words per minute touch-typing, but with one uncorrected error (a capital letter that I left as lower-case, I think), so they adjusted me down to 59.
Perhaps “Quality not Quantity” doesn’t work so well as a motto for tall people ๐
How about “Blessed to be a Blessing”?
As long as it’s a quality blessing!
‘Touch’ she said snootily!
I take back my snoot! I did dreadfully and fell apart under pressure! The bloody minded perfectionist in me kept going back to correct words and repeatedly corrected them incorrectly! I need a drink! 34! Perhaps I’ll try again when I’m less sober? ๐
Un peu du vin does help with the pressure. Only un peu, though, or the typing pixies come and do it for you (and their spelling is dreadful).
Aha! That’s who to blame for my appalling effort! Those durn pixies! (The teeototal ones!) ๐
